Halloween is just around the corner and that means many excited, sugar crazed kids running around the neighborhood. But what else is Halloween? It’s a pet owner's worst nightmare. Us puppy owners are anticipating barking and holding back our furry little friends from stampeding through the door every time it rings and a child says “Trick or treat!”.
Oh my! Obviously we can’t forget to mention that adorable (god awful) costume (dog tormenting suit) that we bought for our pups to wear! Oh, a costume for me? Sorry, friend -- I'll go in my birthday suit this year, thank you very much. As humans, we love dressing up our pups, taking a great abundance of pictures, and showing them off; but to our four legged friends, it’s a cruel punishment that they’ll never understand. Trust me, the puppy dog eyes and other evil looks I get from my dog, says it all. If our pup can’t guilt trip us into taking their costume off, they’ll do it themselves. They will rip if off their furry bodies one item at a time, tearing it up as they go, until there is nothing left of it- besides the many shreds of fabric that we now get the reward of cleaning up. So this Halloween, as you become increasingly tempted to tranquilize your furry friend for the night as he misbehaves...barking and whining and destroying that $40 costume you bought…remember, it’s a ruff life.
